Administration

The Student Affairs Department is headed by the Dean, Student Affairs who is in-charge of the Department. There are also the Sub-Deans for the two campuses of the University – Awka and Nnewi and another Sub-Dean for the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Agulu. The Sub-Deans assist the Dean in the performance of his duties.

There is a Deputy Registrar/Student Affairs Officer (SAO) Student Affairs in Awka Campus who is in-charge of administration and assists the Dean in the day-to-day administration of the Department.

There is also a Deputy Registrar who is in-charge of Hostel Management and reports also to the Dean in matters concerning Hostel Management.

OPERATIONAL UNITS

The Student Affairs Department has three major operational units namely:

  1. The General Administration
  2. The NYSC Mobilization Unit and
  3. The Hostel Management Unit.

 

  • There are other sub-units in the three major operational units. The General Administration and NYSC Mobilization Units are directly under the supervision Deputy Registrar (1)/SAO, Student Affairs who is responsible to the Dean for the overall administration of the Department.
  • The Hostel Management is directly under the supervision of the Deputy Registrar, Hostel Management who is responsible to the Dean in Hostel Affairs.
