Work Ethics

The work ethics of the Student Affairs Department is in line with the work ethics of the university as enshrined in the University Information Handbook.

Work ethics is a value system based on hard work and diligence. It is a concept based on the belief in the moral benefit of work and its ability to enhance character. Work ethics include reliability, initiative and the pursuit of new skills. Workers exhibiting good work ethics in theory and practice should be selected for better positions, more responsibilities and promotion. Workers who fail to exhibit good work ethics may be regarded as failing to provide fair value for the wages the employer is paying them, and should not be promoted or placed in position of greater responsibility.

A strong work ethics is vital to any organization seeking to achieve its goals.

In Student Affairs Department in particular just like the University in general, every employee from the lowest to the highest ranking is expected to have good work ethics which would keep the University/Student Affairs Department functioning appropriately.

Certain factors come together to create a strong work ethics. These include integrity, a sense of responsibility, emphasis on quality, discipline and team work.
