Dr. Felix Emeka Menkiti

Dr. Felix Emeka Menkiti is a distinguished medical academic, consultant pathologist, and university administrator currently serving as the Sub-Dean, Students’ Affairs, College of Health Sciences, at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria. He is a highly respected scholar in the field of medical sciences with a strong background in clinical practice, teaching, and academic leadership.
Dr. Menkiti holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree, the Fellowship of the Medical College in Pathology (FMCPath), and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Surgical Pathology. He is a Reader in Anatomic Pathology and Forensic Medicine, with extensive expertise in histopathology, disease diagnosis, and medical education.
Over the years, he has built a solid reputation in medical training, research, and academic mentorship, contributing significantly to the development of future medical professionals. His academic work spans teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, supervising research, and advancing knowledge in pathology and forensic medicine.
In administrative capacity, Dr. Menkiti has held several key leadership positions, including serving as the Head of Department and Head of Histopathology Unit at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital. In these roles, he demonstrated strong organizational capacity, clinical leadership, and commitment to institutional development.
He is widely recognized for his dedication to academic excellence, medical innovation, and student development, combining clinical expertise with administrative competence to enhance both healthcare education and student welfare within the University system.

Roles, Responsibilities & Areas of Oversight:
- Overseeing Student Academic Governance (SAG) within the College of Health Sciences, ensuring effective student representation, discipline, and coordination of academic-related student affairs to promote order, accountability, and excellence in line with institutional standards.
- Ensuring effective oversight of the College of Health Sciences, Nnewi Campus of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, including supervision of academic activities, student engagement, and administrative coordination to support smooth academic operations and compliance with University policies.
- Coordinating hostel management and general student welfare services, including accommodation oversight, welfare interventions, and support systems aimed at promoting a safe, conducive, and well-regulated living and learning environment for all students.

- CHS Students’ Database Management System
Development and implementation of a structured and centralized database system for students of the College of Health Sciences, ensuring accurate, secure, and continuously updated records. This system enhances administrative efficiency, supports academic tracking, and improves data-driven decision-making within the College. - Student Information and Records Coordination Platform
Establishment of an improved student information management framework that streamlines documentation, verification, and access to student records. This innovation strengthens communication flow, ensures data integrity, and supports effective coordination of academic and administrative processes within the College of Health Sciences.
