To be eligible for mobilization into the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), prospective corps members must meet the following requirements:
General Eligibility
- Must be a graduate of an accredited higher institution
- Must have completed all academic requirements and be cleared by the institution
- Must be included on the approved Senate/Academic Board list submitted to NYSC
- Must not be above the age of 30 years at the time of graduation (those above are issued Exemption Certificates)
Required Documents
- Valid Student Matriculation Number
- Statement of Result / Degree Certificate
- School Identity Card
- Recent passport photograph (as specified by NYSC guidelines)
- Functional email address and phone number
- Valid means of identification (e.g., National ID, Voter’s Card, etc.)
Institutional Requirements
- Proper admission records (JAMB regularization where applicable)
- Completion of final clearance with your institution
- Correct and consistent student data (name, date of birth, course of study, etc.)
Important Notes
- All registrations must be done personally by the applicant (no proxy allowed)
- Ensure that all submitted information is accurate and matches institutional records
- Any discrepancy in records may delay or prevent mobilization
